JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Great outdoor opportunities await all in North Dakota this month.

Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says anglers young and old will get a crack at fishing for free this weekend in the state.

Leier says all residents 16 and older can fish any North Dakota water without a license. Residents 15 and younger do not need a fishing license at any time of year.

Fishing regulations and information on fishing waters is available on the Game and Fish website at gf.nd.gov.

Leier adds that the deer season is set, but hunters have an important deadline fast approaching.

North Dakota’s 2022 deer season is set, with 64,200 licenses available to hunters, down 8,000 from last year. The 2022 deer gun season opens Nov. 4 at noon and continues through Nov. 20.

You can find more information at gf.nd.gov.
