Reuben Bruse, age 84, of Valley City, ND, died Thursday, May 26th at the SMP St. Raphael (Sheyenne Care Center) in Valley City. A private family inurnment will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Fingal, ND.
Reuben Charles Bruse, the son of Henry and Lucy (Cornelius) Bruse, was born September 30, 1937 on the family farm near Marion, ND. Reuben attended Marion School until he moved to Fargo, ND where he attended the Golden Ridge School. After receiving his education, Reuben worked for Pat Boyle near Alice, ND. He later worked for Harley Hansen near Fingal until his retirement. In 2018, Reuben became a resident of the Sheyenne Care Center (SMP St. Raphael) in Valley City.
Reuben is survived by his sister Luverne Pearson, West Fargo, ND; two brothers, Harvey (Kathy) Bruse and Terry Bruse, all Fargo, ND; one sister-in-law, Donna Bruse, Horace, ND; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, George (Marilyn) Koller, Fingal, ND, Timothy Koller, Eldridge, ND, Evan Koller, Bismarck, ND and his God Daughter, Alise (Brett) Volk, Valley City, ND.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Clarence Bruse and two sisters, Helen Hauer and Mable Verlinden.
