Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Harold Dan Froemke, passed away May 23, 2022 at the age of 89 at SMP Health-St. Raphael, Valley City, North Dakota.

Harold was born November 5, 1932 in Enderlin, ND to Daniel and Hazel (Ufer) Froemke.  He attended Shenford Country School, then Sheldon Public School and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1950.

Harold was united in marriage to Jeanette Jankowski on February 21, 1954 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin, ND.  They made their home in Enderlin, Lisbon and Valley City.  They were blessed with their four daughters.

Harold did plumbing and heating in Enderlin.  He became the youngest Master plumber in the state of North Dakota when he passed his master’s test at the time.  Harold worked at the Ransom County Court House, Lisbon, before retiring.

He loved spending time with his wife, his girls and grandchildren.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.  He was a member of the American Legion and Eagles.

Harold is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of 68 years; his daughters, Vally Froemke and Tammy Enstad, both of Valley City, Vicky (Eldon) Bernstein, Lisbon and Christy (Raymond) Bleecker, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren; one brother Boyd (Janice) Froemke, Lake Havasau, AZ; many in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by their baby; granddaughter, Evelyn Bleecker; great great grandson, Tyler James Bear; his parents Daniel and Hazel Froemke; step father, Clarence “Slim” Omdahl; brother, Arnold Froemke; sister, Violet Oslie; niece, Connie Thernes; son-in-law, Robin Compson; several in-laws and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2 pm at Anselm Trinity Lutheran Church, Anselm, ND.  Burial will be in the Anselm Cemetery.
