CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Day two of the 2022 Region 3 Baseball tournament was held at Carrington City Park on Tuesday, here are the results:

The game continued in the top of the fourth inning after being suspended for lightning and rain on Monday, the Mustangs added three more runs and completed the shutout of the Black Sox. SNR ends their season at 3-14 overall, MDPLGC improves to 6-7 overall.
Lamoure/Litchville/Marion 10 Carrington 0, 6 innings
The number one seed in the tourney and defending Region 3 champs score two runs in the bottom of the third inning and eight more in the bottom of the eighth to get the victory and move into Wednesday’s championship game. The Loboes sent 11 batters to the plate in the bottom of the sixth and win the game after Dylan Carlson hit a single to right field scoring courtesy runner Max Musland from first base for the walk-off victory, winning by 10-run rule. Senior Landon Piehl was the winning pitcher, throwing a complete game one-hitter, 79 pitches, six strikeouts and three walks. Senior Lucas Hendrickson takes the loss, working three innings, two unearned runs, two strikeouts and one walk, Josh Bickett worked two innings in relief and Kael Kovar two-thirds. LLM improves to 12-1 overall, Carrington drops to 7-5 overall.
Kidder County-Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter 5 Midkota-Dakota Prairie-Lakota-GCC 0
Isaiah Oster pitched 6 shutout innings for the Wolves and allowed just 1 hit as KC-N-G-S eliminated Midkota-DP-L-GCC 5-0. Oster picked up a pair of strikeouts, allowed 3 walks, and 1 hit batter before Grant Pfaff finished off the Mustangs in the 7th inning. Pfaff pitched 1 scoreless inning striking out 2 Mustang batters. Collin Zimmerman went 2-2 at the plate and drove in 3 runs for the Wolves. Trevor Simmers also drove in 1 run going 1-2. Cade Stein had the only hit for the Mustangs who finished the season at 7-8 overall.
Carrington 4 KC-Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter 1
The Cardinals used 3 pitchers to defeat the Wolves 4-1 in the final game of day 2. Starter Lucas Hendrickson picked up the win pitching the first 3 1/3 innings before hitting his pitch limit. Hendrickson recorded 5 strikeouts, allowed 1 hit, and 4 walks. Kael Kovar worked 2 1/3 innings and allowed the lone Wolves run in the sixth inning. Kovar had 3 strikeouts, allowed 1 hit, and walked 3 batters. Grady Shipman picked up the save working the final 1 1/3 innings recording 4 strikeouts and allowing 1 hit. Hendrickson went 1-2 at the plate including 2 RBI. Shipman reached base all 4 times with 2 walks and hit by pitch twice, scored 2 runs, and added a stolen base. Noah Paulson was 1-4 with an RBI and Hudson Schmitz went 1-3 with a run scored. Blake Braun, Jace Larson, and Simon Hager all had 1 hit each for the Wolves who ended the season with a 13-7 overall record. Carrington improved to 8-7 overall and will play LaMoure-LM in the championship at 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon.
