Topsoil moisture supplies rated 0% very short, 5% short, 62% adequate, and 33% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 3% very short, 9% short, 64% adequate, and 24% surplus.

Soybeans planted was 7%, well behind 72% last year and 47% for the fiveyear average.

Spring wheat planted was 27%, well behind 93% last year and 80% average. Emerged was 9%, well behind 55% last year and 42% average.

Durum wheat planted was 17%, well behind 75% last year and 69% average. Emerged was 4%, well behind 32% last year and 27% average.

Winter wheat condition rated 5% very poor, 7% poor, 23% fair, 52% good, and 13% excellent. Winter wheat jointed was 51%, behind 66% last year, but near 48% average.

Corn planted was 20%, well behind 81% last year and 66% average. Emerged was 1%, well behind 36% last year and 21% average.

Canola planted was 13%, well behind 56% last year and 59% average. Emerged was 2%, behind 16% both last year and average.

Sugarbeets planted was 23%, well behind 100% last year and 96% average.

Oats condition rated 1% very poor, 2% poor, 39% fair, 57% good, and 1% excellent. Oats planted was 36%, well behind 86% last year and 75% average. Emerged was 11%, well behind 49% last year and 36% average.

Barley planted was 26%, well behind 91% last year and 79% average. Emerged was 7%, well behind 52% last year and 40% average.

Dry edible peas planted was 27%, well behind 80% last year and 77% average. Emerged was 8%, well behind 40% last year and 32% average.

Sunflowers planted was 3%, well behind 27% last year, and behind 21% average.

Flaxseed planted was 9%, well behind 61% last year and 53% average.

Potatoes planted was 12%, well behind 77% last year and 67% average.

Dry edible beans planted was 5%, well behind 42% last year and 35% average.
