WASHINGTON, D.C. (NewsDakota.com) – Senator John Hoeven, ranking member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development recently awarded funding to three North Dakota entities. Details are as follows:

· Towner County Hospital Authority – $10.9 million loan to construct a critical access hospital and nursing home.
· City of Napoleon – $590,000 loan and a $380,000 grant to replace water and waste water infrastructure.
· City of New Salem – $1.9 million loan and a $1.5 million grant to replace sewer pipe under city streets.

“These USDA Rural Development resources will be used to enhance communities in North Dakota and improve the residents’ well-being and quality of life,” said Hoeven.
