JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – What may be considered “uncomfortable” to talk about is something that should be talked about.
The Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has introduced a new event called “Kegels & Cocktails” to bring fun and factual information from their local OB/GYN team.
Dr. Emily Stromquist says Kegel exercises are vital for a woman’s health.
She adds that some of it is quality of life, but some of the benefits of the kegel exercise is long-term.
Nurse practitioner Makenzie Breitbach is also part of the OB/GYN team and will be on hand with Dr. Gregg McAdoo to answer questions during the event. She says it may be an embarrassing topic, but it’s meant to provide vital information to the public.
She says they want as many questions as possible, but those who may be far too uncomfortable to ask are also encouraged to submit questions to info@jrmcnd.com which will be asked anonymously on their behalf.
JRMC Marketing Manager Katie Ryan-Anderson says they’re excited to return to holding information events such as “Kegels & Cocktails”, adding what they hear from their patients is they want to stay local when it comes to their personal health.
The event will be held at the Jamestown Arts Center with a social at 5:15 PM and presentation at 6 PM. Light appetizers and door prizes will be provided. Kegels & Cocktails is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated, though not required. RSVP at jrmcnd.com/kegels or call (701) 952-4795.
Masks required when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
