JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System (JRVLS) is continuing to research and gather information regarding the space needs and future of both libraries in Jamestown.

Library Director Joe Rector says the board is currently wrapping up the needs study to help give them a better idea of how much space is needed.

Rector says following renovations of Alfred Dickey Library, they’re currently exploring ways to better utilize that space to meet the needs of the community.

Whether it’s having one library, two libraries, keeping Alfred Dickey Library, or building a new library, Rector says they welcome any input by contacting the library at 701-252-2990.

He added there are no set decisions to be made yet.

In other library information, Rector says their new digital resource Hoopla has been receiving positive input and gives patrons access to millions of titles including books, graphic novels, audiobooks, movies, music, and more.

He says summer activity planning is also underway.

There will also be a new lunch program with activities daily at the library.

The lunch program will begin in June at Alfred Dickey Public Library.
