VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Thursday saw the Hi-Liners softball and baseball teams go on the road for their respective games.
Baseball:
The Hi-Liners baseball team went on the road and took on the defending EDC Champs, the West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs. Valley City picking up the huge 7-5 victory. On the mound, senior Devyn Thornton picking up the win for the Hi-Liners. With the win Valley City now has a record in the EDC of 2-2 and an overall record of 3-3. Hi-Liners will host Fargo South in a double header on Friday. First game starts at 5pm and can be heard on KOVC, streamed on NewsDakota.com, or on the KOVC app.
Softball:
The Hi-Liners softball team was also on the road on Thursday. The Hi-Liners went into Devils Lake and cruised to the 12-3 win over the Firebirds. Valley City now has an EDC record of 2-5, and an overall record of 2-8. Hi-Liners will next be in game action on Tuesday when they will travel to take on West Fargo Sheyenne with first pitch being scheduled for 6:15pm.
