JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) reviewed a request from Agri-Cover for PACE funding to build an addition to the business.
JSDC Business Development Director Corry Shevlin says the new facility would be built right next to the existing Agri-Cover facility.
Shevlin says PACE funding is qualified for by job creation or through capital investments. Shevlin says Agri-Cover will meet both of those qualifications and be eligible for the max buydown dollars of $500,000 from the Bank of North Dakota. This would be matched with a community portion of $215,000 on a 70/30 split between the city and county.
Shevlin says they will receive an incentive period of about 10 years before needing to repay both the city and county share.
The added facility would create around 35 new jobs and includes equipment and automation.
Someone representing Agri-Cover will be available at the JSDC Board of Directors meeting on Monday, May 9th, where the committee-approved request will be discussed. It will also rely on full approval from the City of Jamestown and Stutsman County.
