VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners had multiple teams in action on Monday.
Track and Field:
The Hi-Liners track and field team participated in the Shanley Invitational. VCHS had a pair of student athletes become state qualifiers. Greta Goven qualified for states in the 1600-mete run. Austin Shape qualified for states in a pair of events. The first event is the 100-meter. Shape would also become a state qualifier in the 200-meter dash, and event he finished in first place at the meet.
Softball:
The Valley City Hi-Liner softball team returned to game action on the road taking on the Fargo North Spartans. Both teams would reach double digits in runs, however it was the Spartans who came out with the 14-11 victory. Kinlee Sufficool would lead the way for VCHS at the plate, as she went 4-5 with a home run, and 3 runs scored. The softball team is in action again on Tuesday, and will be traveling to West Fargo in a double header. First game is at 4:30pm, second game to follow.
