Spring wheat planted was 5%, well behind 39% last year, and behind 18% for the five-year average.
Durum wheat planted was 1%, behind 20% last year and 11% average.
Winter wheat condition rated 5% very poor, 7% poor, 38% fair, 45% good, and 5% excellent. Winter wheat jointed was 20%, equal to last year, and ahead of 10% average.
Canola planted was 1%, behind 7% last year, and near 4% average.
Oats planted was 1%, behind 18% last year and 12% average.
Barley planted was 1%, well behind 35% last year, and behind 14% average.
Dry edible peas planted was 1%, well behind 21% last year, and behind 14% average.
Pasture and range conditions rated 17% very poor, 31% poor, 33% fair, 18% good, and 1% excellent.
Hay and roughage supplies rated 36% very short, 36% short, 28% adequate, and 0% surplus.
Stock water supplies rated 6% very short, 22% short, 62% adequate, and 10% surplus.
