WISHEK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) After more than two weeks off because of the cold and snowy spring weather in North Dakota, the Carrington Cardinals Baseball team were back in action on Thursday afternoon for two Region 3 games in Wishek. The Cardinals fall to the Mustangs of South Border 6-4 in the first game and 5-3 in the second game against Kidder County. With the two losses, Carrington falls to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in Region 3 play. KC is now 4-2 overall and 2-1 in R3, SB is now 2-1 overall and 2-1 in R3.
The Cardinals led in both games early on, but couldn’t keep the lead towards the end in the closely contested Region 3 contests.
Next up for Carrington will be on Monday at Lamoure for another Region 3 game, KDAK AM 1600/FM 100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the game starting at 5pm.
