SIOUX CITY, IA. (NewsDakota.com) – Sophomore pitcher Trei Hough of the University of Jamestown baseball team was named the GPAC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Hough grabbed his fourth win of the year over the weekend in a 7-0 complete game shutout win over Northwestern College. Hough helped start the Jimmies on a four-game winning streak, picking up doubleheader sweeps over Northwestern and Midland this past weekend.
Through nine appearances this season, Hough holds a 3.32 ERA with a 4-1 overall record and .215 opponent batting average against. The Pocatello Idaho native is a transfer from Treasure Valley CC.
The Jimmies, 24-21 overall and 13-11 in the GPAC, will round out their home season on Wednesday with a nine-inning game against Dickinson State. UJ then heads to South Dakota to take on Dakota Wesleyan in a four-game series to end the year. The GPAC tournament begins on May 5th.
