JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 9th Annual Father/Daughter Dance took place Friday, April 22nd at the Jamestown High School.
The event has been held annually to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Pre-registered couples were estimated at 299, with many more who showed up and registered on the evening of the event. Full amounts raised and final couple totals will be reported later.
Young ladies and their fathers, uncles, grandfathers, guardians, and even friends dressed up for the dance, which included a handmade corsage and a grand march that was open to the public. After the march, couples held a first dance that spectators could stay for before they were asked to leave to make it a special evening.
