3k-start

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – One of the first 5K and 3K events of the year is set April 30th to help support Mary’s Place at Safe Shelter in Jamestown.

Safe Shelter has been working on intervention, prevention, and advocation for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for 41 years. Lynne Tally is the Executive Director for Safe Shelter Jamestown.

Operating as a non-profit, Safe Shelter has relied fully on grants, donations, and fundraisers such as their Rabbit Run 5K and Bunny Hop 3K to maintain the operations of their building.

The 4th annual event will take place at the Jamestown High School Parking Lot on Saturday, April 30th. The 5K Rabbit Run is for the more serious runners and walkers, while the 3K Bunny Hop is a more casual, family-friendly walk that will include games and treats along the way.

Tally is also encouraging you to sign-up before the event to help with planning and t-shirt orders.

Check-in will begin at 8 AM with the run starting at 9 AM. Cost to register is $25 each and $5 per child in either the 5K or 3K. All funds will help assist Mary’s Place at Safe Shelter.
