Many turned out to the 8th annual Father/Daughter Dance in 2019

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and guardians are encouraged to bring their favorite lady or ladies to the 9th Annual Father/Daughter Dance on April 22nd.

The event started small, but has since grown in it’s first 8 years.

Carlla Maki is one of the organizers for the event.

Linda Brown is another organizer for the event. She says over the years, the cost of registration and spectator cost has been raised to support the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life.

Brown added the biggest thing is the participants have fun and the cause they’re raising money for.

You’re encouraged to get your tickets for the event before April 20th to ensure enough corsages and cupcakes for everyone. Tickets are $25 in advance and $40 at the door. Extra girls will be $5 each. A $1 charge for spectators 10 years of age and up will be incurred for the grand march. Once the march is complete, spectators can watch the first dance.

Tickets are available at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or Neighborhood Grocery.
