Donna Rae Gross, 69, of Jamestown, ND passed away Thursday morning, April 7, 2022 at Ave Maria, Jamestown.

Donna was born May 13, 1952, in McLaughlin, SD, the daughter of Ervin “Curly” and Veronica (McGruder) Gross. She attended school in Leads, South Dakota and Newcastle, Wyoming. Donna moved with her parents from Wyoming to North Dakota in 1982. In 1985, she was actively employed by Alpha Opportunities and lived in the Post House for most of her years. Donna loved bowling and traveling for tournaments, participating in Special Olympics, listening to country music, watching IndyCar Races (she was especially fond of Jimmy Johnson), All Star Wrestling and football. She enjoyed Alpha trips, concerts, fishing and shopping. Donna also enjoyed doing crafts, playing video games, and talking with family and friends. She was passionate about animals, especially dogs. Donna was fascinated by dates and facts. She was a “go-to” person in the family if you wanted to know information about names, numbers, births, deaths, weddings…she was amazing. This was a talent that not many knew she maintained. Donna was a gentle soul with a strong disposition and a wonderful person who will be missed by friends, family, and her Ave Maria family. She is also survived by one nephew, Bobby Shaw II and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jane (Gross) Shaw and brother-in-law, Robert Shaw.
