(NDAgConnection.com) – Daily production of fuel ethanol stayed above 1 million barrels for the fifth consecutive week last week, but just barely, according to data released today by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Production averaged 1,003,000 barrels per day for the week ending April 1 compared to 1,036,000 barrels per day the week before.

The change, the second decrease in as many weeks, represents a decline of more than 3%.

Weekly ending stocks also went down, going to 25.903 million barrels from 26.529 million barrels week-to-week.

This represents a decrease of more than 2%.
