JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a new high risk registered sex offender that is residing within the city of Jamestown.

28 year-old Jonathan Robert Abell currently resides at 403 1st Ave. N #12. He is a white male, 5’07”, 215 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee.

Abell was charged in Richland County with Gross Sexual Imposition in 2017 when he performed sexual acts on a 3 year-old female and 6 year-old male. He also forced them to perform sexual acts on him. He is currently on GPS monitoring.

Abell is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
