JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Board of Directors (JBOR) held their winter event in December and raised funds for several charitable auctions.
According to their website, the JBOR is a group of area relators who strive to improve our industry through education, community involvement and communication.
“Our commitment to our members is also a commitment to our communities,” the site states. “Our professionals are involved and are given a forum to learn and communicate with other colleagues during monthly board meetings and community initiatives.”
Local Relator Sally Domke says they held a silent auction and have recent made donations to Prairie Paws Rescue, The Orphan Gain Train, Ignite Light, Abused Persons Outreach Center, and the Jamestown Clowns.
“We try to spread it around and choose different charities and also do both Jamestown and Valley City organizations as our board is for both communities,” Domke stated. “We have approximately 55 Realtor members and five appraiser members as well as 12 local Business Partners.”
Domke says the board is governed by elected members to ensure professional standards.
