BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Senior Annie Nabwe of the Jamestown High School girls basketball team was named first team All-State by the NDAPSSA on Tuesday.

Nabwe made the All-State list for basketball for the first time as she led the WDA in rebounding with 12.1 rebounds per game and was third in the conference in field goal percentage at 52.7% for the 2022 season. Jamestown played in a state qualifier in the WDA tournament, finishing its season at 13-9 overall.

Nabwe, a senior who is committed to run track and field at the University of Minnesota, is the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year for track and field. The senior won both the shot put (48’1) and discus (143-9) events at the ND Class A State Meet last season. She also took second in the 100-meter dash (12.04) and third in the javelin(131′ 9).
