VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The following is a news release from the District 24 Dem-NPL part.
“The District 24 Dem-NPL Party honored longtime Democratic supporter Henrik Voldal with a memorial gift in his name to the Valley City State University Foundation’s V-500 Scholarship Fund.
Henrik Voldal, of rural Valley City, died March 1, 2022.
Voldal, who served the district in various roles including Precinct Committeeman and District Chairman, actively promoted Dem-NPL values and District 24 efforts for more than 50 years. Voldal also served the public as North Dakota’s Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture, and as a Barnes County Commissioner. Long-serving Dem-NPLers share that his deepest passion was for “promoting the principles of the Non-Partisan League (NPL)”.
At Valley City State University (VCSU), Voldal, earned a Doctorate in Education at the University of North Dakota, taught classes and served for a time as Chairman of the Division of Education and Psychology.
In honor of Henrik Voldal’s deep commitments to community and education, it is the District 24 Dem-NPL’s honor
to offer a gift to the V-500 Scholarship Fund in his memory. This memorial gift will help ensure that VCSU
continues shape thoughtful leaders who continue to embody Voldal’s spirit of service and dedication.”
