A fraudulent website promoting a fake auto sales business in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a fraudulent website being used to purchase vehicles online.

The website is identifying as the business of Michel Auto Sales in Jamestown. The Sheriff’s Office says this is not a real website and is being used to scam individuals.

“Please be mindful about scams like these and all other scams that are out there,” the office stated. “The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office takes numerous reports each year of individuals being victims of various scams. Always be cautious when sharing personal information with others and online.”
