VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners Track and Field team participated in the Cobber Invitational over the weekend, and have a record breaking day.
A 26-year old school record in the 4X800-Meter relay is no more. In the first place finish, it was Sydnee Ingstad, Carly Goven, Reagan Berg, and Greta Goven teamed up to have the new school record time of 10:34.86. The record was previously held by Jennifer Olson, Jill Berger, Jill Friestad, and Jennifer Provolt.
Reagan Berg’s stellar day wasn’t done there. Berg’s time of 13:02.09 in the 3200-Meter Run puts her into the 5th best time in school history.
Karina Olson winning the Long Jump as well as the 55- Meter at the Concordia Indoor Invitational.
For the 4X200 relay, the Hi-Liners (boys) finished in 2nd place. The Hi-Liner boys are, Zach Sykora, Austin Shape, Derek Shape, and Parker Jacobson.
