JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The NDSU Extension Service in Stutsman County is sharing information they’ll have available for local gardeners this spring.

The first of these opportunities is the Spring Fever Garden Forums that run Monday nights through April 11th.

Extension Agent Alicia Harstad says gardners can attend the forums at participating Extension offices or register to receive a link to the forums they’re interested in attending.

Topics in the forum including:

-Vegetables and Herbs
-Landscapes
-Healthy Environment
-Special Topics

The forums are free and available to any who are interested. You can find a link to register here.

Harstad says they’re also excited to return the Jamestown Garden Morning, another free event put on with assistance from the Stutsman County Master Gardeners on Saturday, April 2nd.

The event was first held two years ago to what Harstad says was a very encouraging crowd. Speakers and topics for the Garden Morning include:

-Mary Lewis “Growing Houseplants Successfully”
-Tom Kalb “Let’s Grow a Great Vegetable Garden”
-Kathy Wiederhold “Updates from the Carrington Research Extension Center Orchard with Growing Tips”

Harstad added that one of the biggest benefits of these informational events is the ability to connect and network with other, fellow gardeners.

The event will also feature kids crafts, Prairie Pals 4-H Club serving food throughout, and informational booths from 9 AM to 1 PM.
