MANDAN, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – A Mandan woman faces a number of charges after being accused of kidnapping.

Mandan police say 26 year old Tyann Bravebull was arrested early this morning after a 28 year old woman reported that she had been kidnapped and held against her will. The victim told police the suspect forced her into a pickup, and they drove to a location in a neighboring county. She said the suspect picked up a relative and returned to Mandan.

The victim alleges Bravebull held a knife to her and refused to let her go. She told police the pickup truck stopped at a gas station, where she ran and locker herself in the bathroom, where she called police.

After a chase, officers found Bravebull hiding in a barrel in the yard of a home.
Formal charges are pending.
