MINOT, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Senior Jacolby Pearson had a game high 16 points and six assists to help the Indians of Four Winds/Minnewaukan defeat the Loboes of Lamoure/Litchville/Marion 52-36 in the State Semifinals Friday night at the Minot State University Dome. FWM remains perfect on the season and improve to 26-0 overall, LLM drops to 23-4 overall.
After three quarters of play, the Loboes were down by just 10 points, 36-26, but the Indians came out on a 9-0 run to start the fourth quarter and pulled away for the victory. LLM was led by Junior Colton Ness with 14 points and nine rebounds, Max Musland added nine. For FWM, Pearson had 16, Jayden Yankton 14 and Deng Deng 10. The Indians shot 58% from the field, the Loboes just 34%.
Next up for Lamoure/LM will be Saturday night for the third place game against Minot Bishop Ryan Lions. Q101, KDDR AM 1220/FM 100.3 and newsdakota.com will have the game starting about 550pm pregame, 6pm tipoff.
