JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Blue skies and warmer weather are starting to settle in as the first signs of spring are upon us.

The Jamestown Parks & Recreation has already released their plans and beginning plans for the summer. Director Amy Walters says their biggest spring event is the 61st Annual Easter Egg Hunt, which will return April 16th at McElroy Park.

The free event will have hundreds of eggs to be found, including some special golden eggs to win a bike.

Walters says they’ll continue to host open skate at the Wilson Arena over the year. Those gearing up for summer can sign up for swim lessons at the Two Rivers Activity Center.

She added they’ve also opened their registration for summer camps.

Little Big League registration will also be offered soon which includes tee ball and pre-ball. A pickleball league and flex tennis will also be offered with information coming soon.

Walters says they’re also encouraging golfers to get their memberships purchased ahead of the season to ensure everything is good to go.

Residents are also being encouraged to complete the Jamestown Parks & Recreation Community Survey before April 1st. You can find that by clicking here.
