Denny Plecity passed away as he lived his life, peaceful, kind, gentle and quietly with his wife and loved ones surrounding him March 11, 2022 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
The funeral service for Howard “Denny” Plecity, 79, Fargo, ND, formerly of Valley City, ND will be on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley City. Visitation will be Friday, March 18, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00. Howard D. Plecity was born to Joseph and Faith (Hope) Plecity on October 9, 1942, in Valley City, ND. He attended school and worked for the family business, Plecity House Moving & Excavating. He then joined the ND National Guard.
Denny worked very hard in the construction business for Scheer Construction and the city of Valley City until he moved to Fargo, ND in 1994, where he worked for Master Construction, Industrial Builders and Gateway Building Systems. He and his brother, Roger, had also started the Sewer Jetters business. Denny was a proud member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion.
On November 28, 1997, he married the love of his life, Susan Johnson. With this marriage, he gained a bonus son, Tony. He was formerly married to Elaine, the mother of Terrance, and Pam, the mother of Brian, Jenny, and Bruce.
Denny had many passions in life: camping, fishing, NDSU football, and playing games. His greatest joy was to be able to do those things with his family and friends.
Denny is survived by his wife, Sue of Fargo; his children, Terrance (Tracy) Plecity of Colman, SD (Tyler, Nolan, Mariah, and Jessica), Bruce (Karen) Sandness of Pinehurst, NC, Brian Plecity of Alexandria, MN (Alyssa, Katlyn, and Rachel), Jennifer Plecity of Jamestown, ND, and Tony (Kathy) Jameson of Granby, CO (Joe and Freya); brother, Rich (Jane) Plecity of Valley City, ND; sister, Janice (Darrell) Olson of Lancaster, CA; sisters-in-law, Annetha Plecity and Janice Plecity both of Valley City and Sharon Plecity of Christine, ND; many nieces and nephews along with his extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Duane, Douglas, and Roger; and his sisters, Sharon Hennick and Peggy Zaun.
