JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More and more opportunities are arriving thanks to warmer weather and the changing of the seasons.

North Dakota Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says one of these opportunities is the Nonresident Any-deer bow season with applications opening on March 15th.

Leier added that 810 any-deer bow license are available to nonresidents. Up to five hunters can apply together as a party. A lottery will be held if more applications are received than licenses available. A total of 1,767 people applied in 2021.

The number of nonresident any-deer bow licenses available is 15% of the previous year’s mule deer gun license allocation.

Leier also talked about grants available to support high school trap leagues in the state.

Interested applicants can print out the high school trap league grant application online at the Game and Fish website, gf.nd.gov.
