Fargo, ND (NewsDakota.com) –  The Cass County Sheriffs Office issued a press release today warning residents of an online cat scam.  The Sheriffs Office says it is has already received complaints from several states including: Washington, Michigan, New York, and Florida.  Individuals claim to have purchased cats from breeders operating in Leonard, ND.  The prices on the cats ranged from $550 to $2,500.

The City of Leonard and Cass County Sheriff’s Office say that their  unaware of any persons breeding cats in or around Leonard, ND. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to only make online purchases from verified vendors.
