CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After drought conditions for much of 2021, the Foster County Soil Conservation District (FCSCD) says you may need to change your grazing schedule this spring.

FCSCD Manager Dionn Schaaf says information issued by the NDSU Extension should be used by producers when they’re evaluating grazing.

She shared what the NDSU Extension recommends for the spring.

Schaaf says avoid overgrazing and grazing past the “second node” or the area between the first and second leaves.

Another reminder FCSD is issuing is manure management for the spring.
