JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Tourism continues to explore unique opportunities to promote the city and all it’s offerings.

One of its most recent projects was a video project that was started in 2021 to collect as much footage of area events, leisure activities, historical draws, and more. Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund says this was edited into a brief two-and-a-half minute video.

He added that their goal with completing and doing projects like the video promotion was to create tools they can use to make Jamestown a destination and not just a pitstop.

Swedlund says there’s still a lot more to see and put out from the project.

Another element of showcasing Jamestown is the virtual tour. Swedlund says the Jamestown Downtown Association (JDA) is close to unveiling that and can use it as another tool to help promote Jamestown as a place to visit and even live.
