VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – February was a busy month for the Hi-Liner speech team! Here is an update on the last half of the month:

On February 19^th, the Valley City High School Hi-Liner Speech Team competed both at Fargo South High School and Midkota High School. The Hi-Liners had a great weekend with 4 additional qualifiers to the State tournament in April and 6 total event champions. Fargo South’s tournament does not give out sweepstakes awards.  At Midkota, Valley City placed 1^st, followed by Hatton-Northwood in 2^nd and Barnes County North in 3^rd. “Top Novice” indicates that the student was the highest scoring 7^th/8^th grader or first year 9^th grade competitor.
