JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission approved to purchase a call recording system for Stutsman County Dispatch.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager and 9-1-1 Coordinator Andrew Kirking says their current call recording system is failing.
Kirking added they had budgeted for a replacement last year and he reached out to the current company to get a quote on a new system.
Kirking says the monthly cost of about $8,600, which will be more than their current system, but will bring different and new features.
The system will also support radio recordings. Kirking says this will only record local and not state radio, although that is what he calls “the future” of the system.
The commission unanimously approved the purchase.
