JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The four semifinalists competed in day two of the 2022 Class B Region 3 Girls Basketball Tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center on Friday night.
LaMoure-Litchville/Marion 49, Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier 38
It was a slow start for both teams and after one quarter of play, it was only a 9-6 Loboes lead. LaMoure was able to hit their stride in the second quarter, however, as they exploded for 18 points giving themselves a 27-18 lead at the break. In the second half, the Loboes took care of business and coasted to the Region 3 Tournament championship. LaMoure was led by Molly Musland who scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Norah DelaBarre was second on the team in scoring with 12 points and eight rebounds on 6/8 shooting off the bench. Kiara Jangula and Mataeya Mathern led the way for the Rebels with 11 points apiece.
Linton/HMB 52, Medina-Pingree/Buchanan 34
The Lady Lions and Thunder both went deep into their possessions using a lot of shot clock on each possession. Linton was able to make the most of it in the first quarter putting up 14 points to take a seven point lead. Medina put together a solid overall effort in the third quarter outscoring Linton 12-8 to make it a 31-28. The Lady Lions put together the best quarter of basketball at the tournament thus far scoring 21 fourth quarter points to pull away. JayCee Richter led all scorers with 22 points for the Lady Lions with seven rebounds and six steals. Teegan Scheer also scored 11 points. For the Thunder, Ryleigh Martin led the way with 11 points.

3rd Place Game: Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier vs. Medina-Pingree/Buchanan – 6:00 PM
Championship Game: LaMoure-Litchville/Marion vs. Linton/HMB – 7:30 PM
