VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Students and staff members of St. Catherine School dedicated their new flagpole during a ceremony on February 10th.
The Am Vets Color Guard led by Commander Sherman were present for the inaugural flying of Old Glory and the North Dakota flag.
Students and others sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Students sang a blessing over the Color Guard for their service to our country and community.
Spokeswoman Dawn Ihry said the project began three years ago with a grant from the Daughters of the American Revolution. Donations were received from the Eagles Club, Alumni Classes, private individuals and parishioners.
Ihry thanked all who supported the project and came to the dedication. The school is grateful for your support. God Bless America.
