JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police & Fire Committee held discussion regarding asset disposition services and a possible agreement.

Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger says the agreement would be through propertyroom.com, an online auction site that specializes in auctioning government property.

Edinger says they could use the site for sale of city property, property seized through the department, evidence stored by the department, and more.

There would be no cost to the city to the agreement.

The committee moved to send the item to the March council meeting without recommendation.

Later discussion was held regarding changes to city code. The committee explored changes to adjust city code regarding to possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, general penalties, garbage on roadways, and minor in possession.
