JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High School senior Adam Kallenbach set the single-game point total record in Blue Jay history on Tuesday night as he scored 51 points in an 81-67 win over Mandan.
Kallenbach started the game with the first 10 points on offense for Jamestown, and he continued to pour it on from there. The MSUM football commit dropped 31 points in the first half, leading Jamestown into the break with a four-point lead. In the second half, the Blue Jays got extra help from their other three seniors, but Kallenbach was the leading force all night as he finished off Mandan with 20 second half points.
Ryan Larson ended the game as the only other Blue Jay to hit double figures with 11, but Jamestown seniors Devin Beach, Preston Kroeber, and Luke Van Berkom also gave major production to the Jays on Parents Night. The three seniors combined for 12 points and nine rebounds.
Jamestown heads into the postseason with a 10-11 overall record, rounding out the WDA regular season at 9-11. The Blue Jays hold the eighth seed in the WDA and will take on #9 Williston in a West Region Play-in game. Time is tentatively set for 6:00 PM on Friday night at Jerry Meyer Arena.
