JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown wasted no time in taking care of the College of Saint Mary on Thursday night as the Jimmies rolled past the Flames 87-51.
Noelle Josephson recorded three steals, putting her at 267 for her career, to take first place all-time in steals in Jamestown basketball history. She put together a big performance on offense, leading the Jimmies with 18 points and eight rebounds. UJ led 20-5 at the end of the first quarter and 48-13 at the half while holding St. Mary’s to 20% shooting from the field.
The Jimmies were able to empty the bench in this game, and every single player on the roster recorded a basket in the win. Hannah DeMars put up 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists, scoring in double figures for the 26th time this season. As a team, Jamestown shot 49% from the field and 38% from three.
UJ takes their overall record on the year to 18-11, improving to 11-10 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Jamestown locks up the #7 overall seed for the GPAC tournament, which begins next Wednesday.
