Sharon Ann Schlecht was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She left this world on February 12, 2022 at the age of 76.

Sharon Ann (Meidinger) Schlecht was born April 21, 1945 in Jamestown, ND to Adolph and Rose (Hofmann) Meidinger.  She attended school in Medina, ND and graduated in 1963.  After high school, she moved to Jamestown and worked for Dr. John Snyder.  Sharon married the love of her life, Kermith Schlecht, on March 26, 1965.  Together they had 3 children: Shonda, Sheldon and Stacia and made their home on the farm.

Throughout her life, she had numerous jobs and wore many hats.  She farmed and milked cows alongside Kermith, bartended, worked for the Census Bureau, worked at the Streeter Café, started her own catering business and owned the airport gift shop with her sister, Jan Rogneby, just to name a few.  Through the years she was active in the PTA, Streeter Centennial Library and participated in women’s softball, bowling, played on league pool and was in the Mrs. ND Pageant. With 3 kids at home, lots of their friends would visit often and they considered her their ‘second’ mom.

She had a heart of service and helped anyone with anything any time she could.  She loved her family fiercely and never missed a chance to say I love you and to tell us how proud she was of all of us.  She loved playing cards and games with her family and grandchildren as well as texting jokes and thoughts for the day. She would play pinochle games for hours where many fond memories were made. She was also a delicious cook and baker.  She was much loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Kermith Schlecht, her children Shonda Henry (Ernie Williams), Sheldon Schlecht (Cinnamon Williams), Stacia Martin (Marc), grandchildren Tiana, Chelsea, Tyler, Rachel, Cameron, Sadie, her sister, Jan Rogneby (Allen) her brother, Keith Meidinger (Donna) and her great grandchildren Leighton and Bowen and special friend Bailey Fleetwood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Rose Meidinger, her brother, Donald Meidinger, her grandson, Trevor Hileman and numerous aunts and uncles.
