MOORHEAD, MN. (JRFSC) – Members of the James River Figure Skating Club Competitive Team competed in the 24th Annual Red River Figure Skating Classic, February 11-13 at the Moorhead Sports Center, Moorhead MN . Our 8 competing skaters returned with several awards. Two skaters excelled in the Showcase Final Round with Synneva Sortland earning 4th Place honors in the Preliminary-Prejuvenile group and Gabrielle Tweten taking the top honor with a 1st Place in the Juvenile-Senior Showcase Final Round. Results are as follows:

Brinley Bear: 1st Place in Excel Beginner Free Skate, 1st Place in Compulsory Moves, 3rd Place in Showcase-Lyrical

Jacie Bear: 2nd Place in Excel Pre-Preliminary Free Skate, 5th Place in Compulsory Moves, 6th Place in Showcase-Lyrical

Peyton Brunner: 2nd Place in Excel Beginner Free Skate, 2nd Place in Compulsory Moves, 1st Place in Showcase-Lyrical, 2nd Place in Jumps

Siri Tweten: 1st Place in Excel Pre-Preliminary Free Skate, 4th Place in Compulsory Moves, 5th Place in Showcase-Lyrical, 1st Place in Jumps,

Gabrielle Tweten: 3rd Place in Excel Novice Free Skate, 1st Place in Compulsory Moves, 1st Place in Showcase-Lyrical, 1st Place in Solo Freedance, 2nd Place in Spins, 1st Place in Juvenile-Senior Showcase Final Round

Keira Lambrecht: 1st Place Excel Pre-Preliminary Freeskate, 1st Place in Compulsory Moves, 2nd Place in Showcase – Lyrical

Synneva Sortland: 3rd Place Excel Pre-Juvenile Freeskate, 3rd Place in Compulsory Moves, 1st Place in Showcase-Lyrical, 4th Place in Preliminary-Prejuvenile Showcase Final Round

Clara Hanson: 5th Place Excel Pre-Juvenile Freeskate, 3rd Place in Compulsory Moves, 3rd Place in Showcase-Lyrical
