JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Juniors Colton Mewes and Jackson Walters won individual titles at 160 and 170 during the West Region Tournament on Saturday in Jamestown as the Blue Jays placed third overall as a team.

The Blue Jays edged out St. Mary’s by a single point to take third in the West Region Tournament, as Bismarck High continued its perfect season with a first place finish of 257. Hannah Sjostrom and Paris Eslick of the Jamestown girls wrestling team also won West Region titles during the girls competition on Friday night at Jerry Meyer Arena. The Blue Jays will head to the state wrestling tournament Thursday-Saturday at the FARGODOME.
