JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Cabin Fever days may be over, but the Jamestown Parks & Recreation Department hs plenty for residents and visitors to do both inside and out this winter.

Director Amy Walters says they highlighted many things for Cabin Fever Days in Jamestown, but have plenty of things that will continue including their open skate at the John L. Wilson Arena.

Walters says they have a lot of activities maintained by Parks & Rec outdoors too.

She pointed to the previous week when temperatures reached 40 and melted down the flooded portions of the parks for outdoor ice skating. Walters added that as temps drop back down, staff are continuing to maintain these rinks as conditions allow.

A warming house is also posted at The Bunker to allow sledders an opportunity to warm up and purchase some concessions or hot cocoa while enjoying their time.

Staff also continues to maintain cross-country ski trails at Hillcrest Golf Course.

In other JPRD information, Two Rivers Activity Center has installed new equipment. They’ll also be returning their social spaces and introduce a pickleball league and some more courses including cardio tennis and self-defense.

Walters added those who wish to stay up to date on warming house hours, cross-country ski trails or other Parks & Rec items should follow their Facebook pages or call 701-252-3982.
