JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – It was Parents night and Senior night on Tuesday evening as the Blue Jay Boys hockey team hosted Mandan at Wilson Arena and the home crowd went home happy as Jamestown shut out the Braves 4-0.

Senior Zach Lunde scored a breakaway goal, his 6th of the season, 3:08 into the game, and Junior Max Mehus padded the lead with his 3rd of the season two and a half minutes later, and the Blue Jays cruised from there.

Junior Brooks Roaldson blasted home his 10th of the year, and the state’s leading scorer, Junior Nolan Nenow, sniped in his 23rd of the season.

Jamestown outshot Mandan 41-8 with Senior Goalie Brode Hillstrom posting the shutout.

Jamestown improves to 14-4 overall and 12-2-1 in the West Region and keeps pace with Minot for the race for the top spot in the conference.

The Blue Jay girls lost at Mandan 3-1 Tuesday night. Junior Alexis Kirkeby scored her 21st of the season for the Jays.
