JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Mayor Heinrich had choice words for a Fargo television media organization regarding recent allegations of sexual assault first reported on Saturday, January 30th.

Valley News Live was the first to report the allegations against Heinrich after being contacted on their “Whistleblower Hotline.”

Mayor Heinrich says he believes allegations made towards him were “politically motivated.”

According to Heinrich, he had stopped at the Office Bar on the night of January 29th to see a friend when he was approached by an individual. Click here for the full allegations and original story.

Mayor Heinrich added that organizations should take responsibility to check the validity of accusations, such as the one made against him.

Heinrich pointed to the permanent status of these allegations, adding that his name will forever be linked to these sexual assault claims. At the age of 73, Mayor Heinrich closed with this:
