VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners gymnastics team participated in the 2022 Lupo Meet on Friday evening where they finished second to Dickinson.
In the Vault average, it was Abbey Thornton who lead the way for Valley City with an average score of 9.400. However, she would come in third to Dickinson’s Elizabeth Karsky (9.575) and Amy Fridley with a top score of 9.700.
In the Beam average, leading the way for Valley City was Karina Olson with an average score of 9.200. Olson would finish in third. Coming in second was Dickinson’s Addison Fitterer with a score of 9.300, and finishing in the top spot was Century’s Teah Schulte with a score of 9.350.
In the Floor average, it was Jamestown claiming the top spot in this event. Jamestown’s Haley Nelson finishing with a top score of 9.525. Nelson finished ahead of Hi-Liner Karina Olson. Olson had the top spot for Valley City with a score of 9.500. Finishing tied with Olson in second place was Dickinson’s Elizabeth Karsky with the same 9.500 score.
For the Bars average, it was a tie at the top as two Valley City Hi-Liners claimed the top spot. the two Hi-Liners are Abbey Thornton and Karina Olson who both finished with a score of 9.350. Jamestown’s Haley Nelson just missing out on tying at the top spot, as she finished with a score of 9.325.
For the All-Around scores, it was Valley City’s Karina Olson with the top score of 37.125. Finishing in a close second place was Jamestown’s Haley Nelson with a score of 37.025. Closing out the top three all-around scores was Dickinson’s Addison Fitterer with a score of 36.150.
