Devon & Amber Martin have been holding events to raise awareness and advocacy for early child loss.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A local mom continues to use giving back to others as a way to grieve, heal, and remember her late daughter Gretchyn.

Amber Martin formed “Gifts From Gretchyn” in honor of her daughter, who passed away in June 2020 from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS. Since then, Martin and her family have been holding various fundraisers and support events for others who may be experiencing similar hardships.

With February upon us, Martin isn’t slowing down. A new event called “Pampering Mothers” will provide a spa day for mothers who have also experienced loss, young and old. To do this, she has teamed up with a local salon and boutique to help make the February 19th event possible.

The event will be held at Reflections Salon from 10 AM to 3 PM. Martin says there will be discounts, shopping, gift baskets, prizes, and more. Martin says you won’t be required to stay the entire time at the free event, but you’re welcome to help connect with others and understand that you’re not alone in your grief.

For more information on this and other, future events, you can like the Gifts From Gretchyn page on Facebook here.
