WIMBLEDON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After almost a year, an interview conducted by CBS Sunday Morning with Peggy Lee’s Granddaughter will air February 6th.

The Wimbledon Newsletter reports the interview between Mo Rocca and Holly Foster Wells will air at 8 to 9:30 am Central Time on CBS.

The interview was filmed on March 20th, 2021 onsite at the Wimbledon’s Midland Continental Railroad Transportation Museum.

Carol Peterson is a representative of the Midland Continental Depot and Peggy Lee Museum. She says having the interview conducted on site will hopefully share what the museum has to offer and its part played in the legacy of Norma Delores Egstrom.

The Wimbleon Newsletter explains the interview had been planned as one of the kick-off events in a year of world-wide celebrations marking the 100th Anniversary of Peggy Lee’s birth on May 26, 1920. But, COVID-19 derailed those plans.

At the request of Holly Foster Wells, she felt Wimbledon was the best place to conduct the interview and held steadfast in bringing the CBS Morning crew to North Dakota.

“Cameras rolled for more than three hours as Mo Rocca sat at the kitchen table in the Depot’s second floor living quarters and reminisced with Holly Foster Wells about her famous grandmother,” the Newsletter reports.

Peterson says she’s excited the story of Peggy Lee will once again return to the national stage and hopes this will spark more interest in the museum and it’s part of her history.

The interview will broadcast Sunday, February 6th on CBS from 8 AM to 9:30 AM according to Jane Pauley, who announced that the interview would be part of next week’s program.
